Introducing Dillon Northrup and DK Insurance: A Go Local Siouxland Spotlight
Dillon Northrup is a small business entrepreneur, son, father, and husband who owns DK Insurance in Sioux City, IA. He chose Sioux City for his business because he feels a strong connection to the community, especially since his father, Terry Northrup, is also a business owner in the area (Northrup Construction).
So Dillon, what is DK Insurance?
DK Insurance is a small business marketplace that offers a wide range of insurance solutions. The goal is to become Siouxland’s trusted source for all insurance needs.
Meet Dillon
Whether comparing existing rates or providing new benefits, I aim to assist businesses where others may need to catch up. You can visit their website at www.dkinsurance.agency to learn more about your offerings.
What inspired you to start DK Insurance?
The inspiration behind starting DK Insurance came from my experience working for other brokerages and realizing the importance of working for the business and not just the insurance company. This perspective sets DK Insurance apart from other insurance companies in Sioux City.
What sets your business apart from other insurance providers?
We leverage technology and innovation to streamline insurance processes and enhance customer experience. They have invested in onboarding technology, wellness programs, and AI technology to take a proactive rather than a reactive approach.
To stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and regulations, I attend national events like the 8% Nation to learn about the latest market trends and incorporate them into my services.
What are your long term goals for DK Insurance?
In terms of long-term goals, I’m aiming big: to become Siouxland’s premier insurance company and grow into a national brand.
Why did you choose to have a business listing on Go Local Siouxland?
I decided to have a premium listing Go Local Siouxland because I have confidence in the marketing and strategies of the team at GLS. I appreciate their track record of building successful businesses in
the past. I really value the fact that Go Local Siouxland promotes local businesses and is run by someone who owns their own marketing company and has a proven track record of driving business growth. I think this is different from having a paid employee solely focused on acquiring memberships.
The Go Local Siouxland team would like to thank Dillon for being a valued partner and big supporter of our goals for small businesses in the greater Siouxland area as well as for taking the time to answer our questions for this Go Local Siouxland Spotlight. Thanks, Dillon and we can’t wait to see you achieve your goals.
